K9BC Owner Lisa Porter was hired by Cesar Millan in 2014 and for the last decade has worked with him as a behaviorist and consulting producer on his Nat Geo TV show "Better Human Better Dog". and on his personal Training Cesar's Way team. Working with Cesar and his trainers inspired her to open K9 Behavior College and she has been improving dog and owner relationships ever since! K9BC offers intensive Rehabilitation and Training programs for dogs with severe behavioral challenges, and for those needing to build a solid training foundation, such as a new puppy or rescue dog. We have proven track records of success with issues ranging from severe anxiety to aggression. Whatever the issue may be, our goal is to restore balance to your life with your dog, and we can't wait to get started!
Our Philosophy
We believe that natures way is best and we strive to honor dogs for who they are. We practice dog psychology before dog training, which means we believe that the mental state of the dog ultimately determines their behavior. Our goal is never to simply "suppress behavior" but instead to create a calm, happy, healthy state-of-mind. Dogs can be well trained or good dogs but still have anxiety, aggression, insecurity and other unhealthy issues that lead to many bad behaviors. Our programs and services cover the following:
